HoloLens App > Shape Edit (HL App)
Hologram Adjustments
Similar to the Lumi.cloud application, the HoloLens App allows you to manually adjust 3D surface models. You can use this function to reshape a 3D surface model and improve segmentation inaccuracies. This standalone feature can be used on every 3D surface model.
Use the following steps to visualize a 3D surface model together with the DICOM scan and refine the outline of a 3D surface model:
-
Select the 3D surface model you want to shape edit in the hologram menu
- In the submenu, go to More Options
- Select the Shape Edit tab
-
Use the plier tool to drag the outline of the 3D surface model to the desired position, a red point will appear
-
Repeat this for a few points per slice
-
Press 'Apply' if you are satisfied with the changes
-
Repeat steps 1-4 for a few DICOM slices in coronal, sagittal and axial directions
-
Use the following functions if needed:
-
Add points: drag the outline of the 3D surface model to a desired location
-
Remove points: remove a point
-
Sensitivity slider: use the slider to adjust the sensitivity of the outline change. Small value: only a small part of the outline changes. Large value: a large part of the outline changes.
-
x0.1: slow movement of the outline of the 3D surface model. This function is enabled by default and allows for more controlled outline changes.
-
Undo: undo your latest change
-
Apply: apply your shape edit changes to the 3D surface model
-
-
Save the hologram with your shape edited 3D surface model
-
Note: The total shape is edited with this method, not only the outline on the selected DICOM slice.
