Lumi.cloud > Use Anonymizer
Use the Patient Information menu to Change Patient Information
The Lumi application will automatically detect if DICOM data is uploaded and will pop up a Patient Information menu. Lumi's anonymizer removes all remaining patient identifiable information before the data is stored in the Lumi software. Subsequently, a Lumi ID will be generated that is specific to the uploaded DICOM data or patient. In addition, the Patient Information menu can be used to manually add or modify patient related information that helps you organize your patients, studies and scans.
-
Note: Patient Health Information and/or meta-data that might lead to patient identification cannot be uploaded in the Lumi software. Only anonymized patient data can be uploaded.
Use the Pseudomizer to Recognize your Patient with Patient ID and Birthdate
Lumi also includes a pseudomizer. Use the Patient ID and Birthdate from your hospital to create a secret and unique Lumi Patient ID. This way, you can retrieve your patient by entering the Patient ID and Birthdate.
-
Note: the patient information will never be stored in the Lumi system, only the user who uploaded the DICOM patient and entered the Patient ID and Birthdate has access to this information.

New or Existing Data
Lumi will recognize if you are uploading a new patient or if your scan belongs to an existing patient. In that case, the scan will be added to the existing patient.
